East Neck offers those suffering from serious illnesses such as Alzheimer's, heart disease, emphysema, etc. an opportunity to lead fulfilling lives with supportive medical, social and therapeutic services at their fingertips. At East Neck, our long-term care patients are like family and are provided with a safe, supportive and nurturing environment with access to a variety of social, emotional and spiritual services.
We approach long-term care of our patients with an integrative strategy. Long-term care at East Neck is designed to meet the different physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual needs of our patients. All patients receive 24-hour routine and emergency medical care and are in constant interaction with our caring, skilled nursing department who provide continuous physical and emotional support while promoting mobility, flexibility and independence.
The compassionate and creative staff in our Therapeutic Recreation department work hard to provide our patients with new, enriching experiences that address the array of cognitive, emotional and spiritual needs of the individuals within our care. Programs include social entertainment, creative workshops, pet and music therapy, facility outings and religious services of all denominations.

Welcoming Patients, Visitors and Friends
At East Neck, we perform in-house laboratory testing that often eliminates the need to send patients outside of the facility for necessary medical tests. We routinely screen patients for strep throat, mononucleosis and influenza and perform basic blood sugar, urinary and other laboratory testing as needed. Our practitioners will collect blood samples and send them out to outside laboratories for tests we do not perform in-house. For patients requiring x-ray imaging, East Neck conveniently performs in-house radiologic imaging using our digital x-ray system.
