Nursing Care
A highly experienced, compassionate skilled nursing staff provides stellar, individualized care to each of our patients. Our nursing staff consists of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants who are on duty 24 hours per day, 7 days a week to meet the diverse needs of our patients.
Nurses coordinate the individualized care plans for our patients and are committed to ensuring physical and psychological wellness and maintaining optimum quality of life for each individual under their care. Nurses will assess each patient's medical needs upon admission and develop an individualized plan of care designed to help the individual achieve his/her goals for recovery. East Neck believes family plays an important role in care planning for patients and we take pride in educating family members on the facets of their loved ones' care to ensure that the entire family is well-informed and empowered with knowledge throughout the recovery process.
The staff at East Neck understands the impact that loss of independence after a stroke, fracture, surgical procedure and/or debilitating weakness can have on an individual's quality of life. Welcoming Patients, Visitors and Friends
At East Neck, we perform in-house laboratory testing that often eliminates the need to send patients outside of the facility for necessary medical tests. We routinely screen patients for strep throat, mononucleosis and influenza and perform basic blood sugar, urinary and other laboratory testing as needed. Our practitioners will collect blood samples and send them out to outside laboratories for tests we do not perform in-house. For patients requiring x-ray imaging, East Neck conveniently performs in-house radiologic imaging using our digital x-ray system.
